New Too Faced Eyeshadow Palette

Too Faced Just Peachy Matte Palette

Hello Beauties! I hope you all are having a wonderful day or night wherever you are! I asked and you answered! Today I have a review on the Too Faced Just Peachy Velvet Matte eyeshadow palette ($45.00)! If you do not know what I am referring to, then you don’t follow Brown-eyed Beauty on Instagram. Make sure you check out our Instagram page: brown.eyedbeauty!  I picked up this beautiful, peachy palette from my local Sephora and asked you all on Instagram if you wanted to see a review– and now we’re here!

Too Faced recently launched an entire spin off line of their Sweet Peach palette called the Peaches and Cream collection. Once seeing the new line in person, it was evident that this new all matte eyeshadow palette was the star of the show! I have been trying this out all week and have successfully formulated my opinion on this palette’s formula and shade range for you all!

Formula

I feel as though Too Faced has changed their formula for this palette, making it a bit more dry and much smoother. In doing so, Too Faced has increased the blend-ability of these shadows! However, because of the dryer formula these shadows don’t swatch as amazingly as say the Modern Renaissance palette. BUT! This impression should not deter any consumer from purchasing this palette! The eyeshadows in this palette are very pigmented and blend beautifully when they are applied to the eyes. These shadows are very easy for a beginner makeup lover to work with!

Shade Range

The shade range of this eyeshadow palette is perfect for an everyday, fall palette! It contains 21 cohesive shades that work together to create a soft everyday look or even a gurney, blown out fall masterpiece. I love the fact that there are two white/cream shades in this palette! One white shade with a yellow undertone and one cream shade with a pink undertone! This is an important detail that the brand took the time to add to their palette. I use these types of shadows to set and neutralize the eyelid to create a base to build shadows upon. There are also 5 to 6 transition shades within this palette to suit many different skin tones. However, the stars of this palette are the shades: Peach Punch, Just Ripe, and Peach Sangria. I would consider these the shades that can be packed all over the lid for a deep, vivid look! This eyeshadow palette also contains two detail shades (Peach Tart and Chocolate Dipped) that you can use to define the eyes.

Is It Worth It?

Overall, I believe that this palette is worth it’s $45.00 price tag! It is an all matte palette, so if you know that you love to pack a shimmer shade all over your lid– then this may not be for you. However, if you are looking for an every day eyeshadow palette that is perfect for fall? Then this palette is most definitely for you! This formula from Too Faced is incredible and the shade range ensures that the consumer (you) can create a cohesive look. This eyeshadow palette also smells faintly of peaches! The scent of this palette is less strong then the original Sweet Peach palette (see my review on that palette here), so if that scent that bothered you then just note that this scent is much lighter.
