July Favorites

Hello Beauties! I hope you all are having a wonderful day or night wherever you are!

Can you believe it is already August? Where is 2017 going!? Today I have an assortment of mini reviews on my favorite products for the month of July! I hope you enjoy and let me know your favorites for this month (or even just in general) in the comments!

It Cosmetics “Your Skin But Better CC Cream” (shade: Fair) $38.00

I have to be honest, I was a little apprehensive to trying this product this month, because several months ago I thought that it broke me out. However, I was trying several new products at that time and always wondered if it wasn’t this product that was the culprit. So I—daringly so— decided to give this foundation a second shot! Boy am I glad that I did! It is everything I want in a foundation: high coverage, dewey/natural finish, soft scent, and stays in place all day. The absolute best part about this product is that is contains an SPF of 50! Sunscreen is huge for me, I am sure to wear if every single day and getting extra protection in my make up is alway a plus. This is a stand out product for me for the month of July, and my pro tip for this foundation is to mix in some loose translucent face powder into the liquid and then apply to the face. This creates a little bit of a higher coverage and more matte finish (for those of us with oily skin).

2. No. 7 “Perfect Light Loose Powder” (shade: Translucent) $12.99

I picked up this powder as a recommendation from Jessica Braun (beloved youtuber) because she was raving about it being an amazing loose powder from the drugstore— but has a high end quality to it. After testing it out this month, I can say that I do agree with her! In fact, I would go as far to say that this is the best translucent loose face powder I have ever tried. Everyone raves about the RCMA powder and the new Kat Von D loose setting powders, but I just felt like those were both too drying on my under-eyes when setting my concealer. This powder keeps my face matte but does not suck all of the moisture and life out of it—making it a great powder for assisting in the longevity of your makeup!

3. Colourpop “Super Shock Shadow” (shade: Weenie) $5.00

This eyeshadow has been a lifesaver this month for me! It has just been a crazy, busy month and on the mornings where I need to get up and go to work and want to look somewhat put together with out trying super hard, then this is my go to for my eyes. The reason being is that this is the ONLY shadow I need to use! Cutting my get ready time in half. The product itself—Colourpop’s Super Shock Shadow Formula— is what I am really raving about here. These shadows are perfect to pack on the lid and then blend into your crease with a blending brush, this technique creates a multi dimensional look in just 30 seconds! The shade “Weenie” has been my go to, because I think the rose-gold quality of it compliments my brown-eyes. However, you can go online and fine your perfect shade! The best part? These soft, putty-like, cushion shadows are only $5.00!!

4. Buxom “Lash Mascara” $20.00

Now, for me mascara’s are, generally speaking, a product that I do not give much thought to. I was blessed with naturally long and full eyelashes (thank you dad!) and because of that, the only reason I use mascara is deepen the blackness of my lashes. However, because of their length, my eyelashes can tend to get tangled in each other and clump. So that said, what I look for in a mascara is the wand! This Buxom mascara is one that I received as a sample and I have been completely addicted ever since! The wand is long and has a very faint hourglass shape, but because of that is able to comb through my lashes evenly and easily! This is my new go to for length and depth in my eyelashes!

I hope you enjoyed my mini reviews on the products above! There are more products that I have been loving this month; however, I did want to focus on the ones that I have not already spoken about in other posts this month!
